All work is paid per piece.</strong></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><strong>Project Description</strong></div> <div> <p>As a Video Editor for Study.com, you’ll collaborate closely with our project teams and on-camera presenters to produce professional, platform-specific videos that inform, entertain, and inspire learners worldwide.</p> <p>Your work will include editing long-form YouTube content and short-form TikTok content while following brand guidelines and ensuring excellence in storytelling, pacing, and visual engagement.</p> </div> </div> <div> <ul> <li>Edit raw footage into <strong>5–20 minute videos optimized for YouTube</strong> as well as <strong>1–3 minute videos optimized for TikTok</strong>.</li> <li>Follow <a href="http://Study.com">Study.com</a>’s <strong>brand and style guidelines</strong> across both platforms.</li> <li>Source or create <strong>copyright-safe visuals, music, and sound effects</strong>.</li> <li>Add <strong>text overlays, motion graphics, and visual enhancements</strong> tailored to platform formats.</li> <li>Collaborate with content producers to ensure final videos meet <strong>quality standards</strong> and project briefs.</li> <li>Apply best practices for pacing, storytelling, and engagement specific to <strong>YouTube and TikTok audiences</strong>.</li> <li>Organize project files, maintain clear version control, and deliver edits within specified turnaround timelines.</li> </ul> </div> <div> <p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>2+ years of video editing experience</strong>, including social media and long-form content (e.g., YouTube and TikTok) editing.</li> <li>Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both short-form and long-form video editing.</li> <li>Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).</li> <li>Ability to create engaging visual narratives and dynamic motion graphics.</li> <li>Solid understanding of platform formatting, pacing, and audience engagement.</li> <li>Knowledge of copyright-safe media sourcing and licensing practices.</li> <li>Reliable turnaround and time-management skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Preferred Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Degree or coursework in film, video production, digital media, or related field.</li> <li>Experience working with workflow tools like Wistia, Smartsheet, or comparable project systems.</li> <li>Familiarity with advanced editing plugins (e.g., eye contact correction, color balancing, generative visuals).</li> </ul> <div><strong>What We Offer:</strong></div> <div> <ul> <li><strong>Reliable Payments: </strong>You'll receive payments twice a month and automated invoicing for your work.</li> <li><strong>Remote Work: </strong>This is a fully online contracted work-from-home opportunity.</li> <li><strong>Flexibility: </strong>Basically, there are no requirements!
