We work with young people between the ages of 0-18 years old. We work hard to ensure that children and young people have the right plan in place for them for example this might include living within their relational network, with foster carers or in children’s residential care.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">We work hard in Solihull to ensure that only the children who need to be in local authority care are in care, we revisit family routinely to see if they have made changes to enable them to care for their children.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Social workers in our service will be skilled at engaging with children and young people in creative ways, ensuring that their voice wishes and aspirations are evidenced and inform the care planning process, have an understanding of risk to children and young people in care and have strong assessment, analysis, and planning skills.
