<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Senior Social Worker - Safeguarding and Support<strong><br></strong><strong>Location: </strong>Tameside, Greater Manchester<br><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> £39.00 per hour</p>
<p><strong>Job Description: </strong></p>
<p><strong>Liquid Personnel</strong> is recruiting a dedicated and experienced <strong>Senior Social Worker</strong> to join its client’s <strong>Safeguarding and Support Team</strong> based in <strong>Tameside, Greater Manchester</strong>. This team is responsible for managing <strong>Child in Need</strong>, <strong>Child Protection</strong>, <strong>Pre-Proceedings</strong>, and <strong>Court Matters</strong>, offering a dynamic and rewarding environment for skilled professionals.</p>
<p>The role is primarily <strong>office-based</strong>, with some flexibility for <strong>remote working</strong>, subject to agreement with the <strong>Team Manager</strong>. The preferred working pattern is <strong>across five days per week</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>What will your responsibilities be?</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Carry out assessments of children in need, including those in need of protection and cared-for children</li>
<li>Coordinate service provision to meet assessed needs</li>
<li>Conduct reviews and statutory visits in line with service procedures</li>
<li>Undertake direct work with children and families</li>
<li>Promote and respect children’s identity needs, including cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds</li>
<li>Build meaningful relationships with children, parents, and carers to encourage full participation</li>
<li>Support the development of parents and carers to achieve best outcomes</li>
<li>Collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies</li>
<li>Prepare and present written and oral reports to Panels, Courts, and other agencies</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date records</li>
<li>Attend regular supervision and actively participate in reflective practice</li>
<li>Engage in training and Continuing Professional Development</li>
<li>Adhere to statutory regulations and Council policies</li>
<li>Contribute to service evaluation and policy development</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications & Experience:</strong></p>
<p>To be successful in this role you must have, </p>
<ul>
<li>Social Work England registration</li>
<li>Degree in Social Work or equivalent</li>
<li>Post-qualified experience in statutory children’s services</li>
<li>Full UK driving licence</li>
<li>Ability to provide 5 years of references and account for any employment gaps</li>
