This portal will serve as a key platform for enabling secure software delivery and standardization across the DoD enterprise.</p> <p>This position will play a critical role in shaping the architecture and delivery of the solution in collaboration with developers, security teams, and DoD stakeholders.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities Include: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain a secure, web-based portal for controlled data exchange between DISA and multiple vendors.</li> <li>Provide engineering and technical support for advanced DISA technologies including networks, cloud infrastructure, AI, and cyber defense.</li> <li>Conduct technology research and systems engineering to develop architectures and assess emerging technologies.</li> <li>Provide technical leadership in the design, deployment, and sustainment of the STIG Vendor Development Portal.</li> <li>Implement multi-tenant architecture with robust authentication, authorization, and DoD-compliant encryption standards.</li> <li>Develop scalable frontend and backend components using modern frameworks and cloud services.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security, infrastructure, and development practices.</li> <li>Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated security scanning, monitoring, and logging.</li> <li>Build RESTful APIs for internal and external integration.</li> <li>Support delivery pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and security automation as part of an agile DevSecOps environment.</li> <li>Assist with system accreditation and compliance processes in coordination with government leads.</li> <li>Create and maintain technical documentation, system designs, and conduct code reviews with vulnerability remediation.</li> <li>Participate in planning, sprint activities, and technical reviews as needed.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education: </strong> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree is required.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Experience: </strong> <ul> <li>10+ years of software development experience across diverse platforms and technologies.</li> <li>3-5+ years of full-stack web development experience with frontend (React, Vue, Angular) and backend (Node.js, Python, Java) expertise.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Certifications: </strong> <ul> <li>Must meet DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification requirements for the applicable work role (equivalent to legacy DoD 8570 IAT Level II).</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Clearance: </strong> <ul> <li>Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Skills and Knowledge:</strong> <ul> <li>Experience in engineering large-scale enterprise systems and secure software development practices.</li> <li>Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) and scalable application deployment.</li> <li>Proficiency in database development and management, including data modeling, performance tuning, and secure integration with cloud-native and enterprise-scale applications.</li> <li>Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automated security scanning, logging, and monitoring.</li> <li>Strong research and documentation skills with the ability to develop strategic white papers and vision documents</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with multi-tenant system architectures and compartmentalized access controls.</li> <li>Experience working in DoD or defense-related environments.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team-driven environment.</li> <li>Familiarity with DoD environments or STIG/compliance-related efforts a plus.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment and Physical Demand: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting in front of a computer.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Location: </strong></p> <ul> <li>This is a hybrid onsite role located in Chambersburg, PA.</li> </ul> <p>The projected salary range for this position is $145,000+ annually.
