Our engineers use Claude Code as their primary development tool with MCP connections to production data, Jira, Notion, Sentry, and Datadog. We expect engineers to actively leverage and improve these workflows.</li> <li>Diagnose bugs and address root causes to enhance stability; participate in on call rotations</li> <li>Actively engage in code reviews and technical discussions</li> <li>Systematically identify and mitigate technical debt</li> <li>Stay current with emerging technologies and participate in learning opportunities</li> </ul> <h3>Core Requirements</h3> <ul> <li>3+ years as a developer working with modern web frameworks (Rails, Django, or similar)</li> <li>Experience with front end technologies (React, Angular, TypeScript)</li> <li>Full stack development capability</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in geographically distributed, agile environments</li> <li>Active daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) with demonstrated productivity gains. We are looking for engineers who have integrated AI into their development workflow, not just experimented with it.</li> </ul> <h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Specific expertise in Ruby on Rails, React, and React Native</li> <li>Experience building reusable AI workflows, skills, or tooling that others can use</li> <li>Computer Science degree (B.Sc. or higher)</li> <li>Infrastructure as code experience (AWS CDK, Terraform)</li> <li>Data platform experience (Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt)</li> <li>Early stage startup background</li> </ul> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h4><strong>Compensation Ranges:</strong></h4> <p>L3 - Tier 1 City: $135,000 - $165,000 CAD<br>L3 - Tier 2 City: $115,000 - $140,000 CAD</p> <h4><strong>Leveling &amp; Location:</strong></h4> <p>Thanx uses structured internal levelling and location-based compensation.
