Software Developer (Integrations)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with strong expertise in Core PHP and API development to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building RESTful APIs, integrating third-party systems, and working with databases in a fast-paced development environment. 

Experience & Skill Set

• 7–12 years of experience in software development.

• Experience with PHP frameworks such as CakePHP, Laravel, or CodeIgniter. 

• Knowledge of microservices architecture. 

• Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). 

• Experience with Redis, caching mechanisms, and queue systems. 

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Core PHP. 

• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, CRM systems, and external services. 

• Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance backend applications. 

• Collaborate with frontend developers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver solutions. 

• Create and maintain API documentation and technical specifications. 

• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth, and API tokens. 

• Optimize application and API performance through code improvements and database tuning. 

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and integration issues. 

• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following coding standards. 

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to system architecture discussions. 

• Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 

• 5+ years of experience in PHP development. 

• Strong proficiency in Core PHP. 

• Hands-on experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs. 

• Experience with MySQL database design, query optimization, and stored procedures. 

• Knowledge of JSON, XML and API integrations. 

• Experience with authentication methods such as JWT, OAuth 2.0, and API keys.

• Experience creating and integrating API’s in current or previous roles. 

• Experience owning and maintaining API documentation and technical specifications.  

• Familiarity with Git version control. 

• Experience using Postman or similar API testing tools. 

• Understanding of web security best practices and performance optimization. 

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
