This portal will serve as a key platform for enabling secure software delivery and standardization across the DoD enterprise.</p> <p>The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of the solution while collaborating with senior engineers, security teams, and DoD stakeholders in an agile DevSecOps environment.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities Include: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop, test, and maintain a secure web-based portal supporting controlled data exchange between DISA and multiple vendors.</li> <li>Assist in the implementation of frontend and backend application components using modern development frameworks and technologies.</li> <li>Support the development and integration of RESTful APIs and cloud-based services.</li> <li>Participate in application design discussions and technical planning activities.</li> <li>Collaborate with developers, cybersecurity personnel, and infrastructure teams to implement secure software solutions.</li> <li>Support CI/CD pipeline activities, automated testing, and security scanning efforts.</li> <li>Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization of software applications.</li> <li>Contribute to cloud infrastructure deployment and maintenance activities.</li> <li>Support system accreditation and compliance efforts in coordination with government and contractor teams.</li> <li>Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and system design artifacts.</li> <li>Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily standups.</li> <li>Participate in peer code reviews and remediation of identified vulnerabilities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education: </strong> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree is required.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Experience: </strong> <ul> <li>5+ years of software development experience.</li> <li>2+ years of experience with full-stack web development utilizing modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) and backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar).</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Certifications: </strong> <ul> <li>Must meet DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification requirements for the applicable work role (equivalent to legacy DoD 8570 IAT Level II).</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Clearance: </strong> <ul> <li>Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Skills and Knowledge:</strong> <ul> <li>Experience developing and maintaining enterprise web applications.</li> <li>Familiarity with secure software development practices and cybersecurity principles.</li> <li>Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.</li> <li>Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.</li> <li>Familiarity with source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing tools.</li> <li>Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective technical solutions.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting DoD, federal, or defense-related programs.</li> <li>Familiarity with STIGs, RMF, cybersecurity compliance requirements, or secure software delivery practices.</li> <li>Experience working in Agile development environments.</li> <li>Familiarity with multi-tenant web applications and role-based access controls.</li> <li>Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.</li> <li>Experience with DevSecOps tools and automated security scanning.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment and Physical Demand: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting in front of a computer.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Location: </strong></p> <ul> <li>This is a hybrid onsite role located in Chambersburg, PA.</li> </ul> <p>The projected salary range for this position is $110,000+ annually.
