<p><strong>Your Role and Impact </strong></p>
<p>HYPR is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives on challenges and is eager to contribute wherever the team needs them. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain key product components while collaborating with peers and contributing as an individual contributor.</p>
<p>You'll work on <strong>HYPR's industry-leading security products</strong>, deployed at several Fortune 500 companies. These include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Identity verification solution</li>
<li>Open Standards implementations of passwordless authentication to help customers build secure environments</li>
<li>W3C-compliant authentication servers</li>
<li>Next-generation application management and analytics</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>What you will do in this role</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Design, develop and deploy SaaS services</strong> and web front ends, with a focus on scalability and performance</li>
<li><strong>Own features end-to-end</strong>—from understanding requirements and designing solutions to deployment and production support</li>
<li><strong>Implement comprehensive automated testing</strong> at the component level and collaborate with SDET(s).</li>
<li><strong>Participate in on-call rotation</strong>, handling initial triage and escalating if not an SME</li>
<li><strong>Research new technologies and solutions</strong> to improve existing products and explore new directions</li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Security-minded </strong>— interested in the <em>Cybersecurity domain</em>; previous exposure or participation is a plus.</li>
<li><strong>Autonomous and accountable</strong>—takes ownership of work and drives it to completion. Actively assist in the production support aspects of you work as needed</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>
<p><strong>Expert-Level</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Java SE 17+ and Spring</li>
<li>Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform</li>
<li>Cloud-first development experience (AWS, Azure or similar)</li>
<li>Storage: relational and NoSQL (MySQL, Oracle, Dynamo, Redis or similar)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Strong</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Understanding of data structures, clean code, modularity, and design patterns</li>
<li>Experience designing and scaling distributed services with high reliability, low latency, and clear SLA boundaries</li>
<li>Comfortable working in complex authentication or identity flows involving multiple services</li>
<li>Full-stack experience with React or a similar modern frontend framework</li>
<li>Knowledge of various testing methodologies, including unit and integration testing</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Interest in identity verification and authentication standards like OAuth, WebAuthn, PKI and similar</li>
<li>Experience with computer vision, liveness detection or ML-assisted verification workflows</li>
<li>Infra As Code (IAC) tool (Terraform, Helm, AWS Cloud formation)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Experience: </strong></p>
<p>10+ years of development designing, building and maintaining enterprise web based platform that serve over 100K users. Can be SaaS or On premise.</p>
<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>
<p>BS/MS in computer science or software engineering field. </p>

<ul>
<li>Full Time Opportunity: Yes</li>
<li><strong>The core meeting hours</strong> for this position are from <strong>2:00 PM to 6:00 PM</strong>. Attendance is required for meetings scheduled between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. These meetings may be attended remotely via Zoom. Outside of these scheduled meetings, working hours are flexible. </li>
<li><strong>This position is a hybrid role.</strong> Employees are required to work in the office <strong>a minimum of two days per week</strong>—specifically <strong>Tuesdays and Wednesdays</strong>. The remaining workdays offer flexible remote options.</li>
