Based in our Chennai tech hub, you will play a crucial role in shaping the modern engineering ecosystem that propels Appian's global platform forward.</p> <h3><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills</strong></h3> <h4><strong>Education</strong></h4> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Degree:</strong>&nbsp;Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related technical field.</p> </li> </ul> <h4><strong>Technical Requirements</strong></h4> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Experience:</strong>&nbsp;A minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Core Coding Ability:</strong>&nbsp;Strong foundational programming and software design skills. We embrace a language-agnostic approach for this role—if you can write clean, logical, and efficient code, any primary language stack is welcome.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Tooling &amp; Build Systems:</strong>&nbsp;Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, or optimizing internal engineering tooling, build infrastructure, or developer workflows.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>CI/CD &amp; Automation:</strong>&nbsp;Practical experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment or testing workflows.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>AI-Assisted Development:</strong>&nbsp;Experience in utilizing modern AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLM-based coding assistants) to accelerate development, refactor code, and optimize engineering tasks.</p> </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong>Tools and Resources&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Training and Development: During onboarding, we focus on equipping new hires with the skills and knowledge for success through department-specific training.
