Is that you?</p> <p><strong>Summary:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a highly capable Senior Software Engineer to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions across complex systems. This role requires a deep understanding of modern cloud-native technologies, ownership over technical delivery, and a collaborative mindset to influence both peers and product direction. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to build impactful features that serve our customers reliably at scale.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and contribute to multiple concurrent engineering efforts</li> <li>Work both independently and collaboratively to drive technical solutions and deliver high-quality outcomes</li> <li>Design and build modern, responsive front-end applications using frameworks such as React, ensuring exceptional user experience and performance across devices</li> <ul> <li>Take ownership of features from planning through delivery by proactively estimating scope, lead implementation with minimal guidance, and provide thoughtful, high-quality code reviews that elevate the team’s output</li> <li>Design performant, scalable, and reliable software, considering both functional and non-functional aspects</li> <li>Understand data flow, established patterns, and functional needs to inform development</li> <li>Create a plan for your work by gathering information from your squad and the broader R&amp;D organization&nbsp;</li> </ul> <li>Develop software that meets our internal standards of quality</li> <ul> <li>Make daily code contributions in small, manageable chunks, with continuous integration in mind</li> <li>Fix major issues, defects and vulnerabilities in existing codebases</li> <li>Create and update unit tests to ensure proper coverage of your contributions to the code base and maintain the coverage standard</li> <li>Proactively raise the bar for engineering quality by defining and evolving coding standards, workflow processes, performance benchmarks, and observability practices</li> <li>Leverage observability best practices to define monitors and alerts that ensure real-time insight into the operational health of production systems</li> </ul> <li>Diagnose and fix performance and optimization problems in legacy code</li> <li>Partner with engineers and R&amp;D stakeholders across teams to ensure effective collaboration and deliver results that move the business forward</li> <li>Teach and provide guidance to others in your area of expertise</li> <li>Participate in resolving, and sometimes lead the resolution of, after-hours Production incidents</li> <li>Demonstrate your project work and product contributions</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>4+ years of professional software development experience</li> <li>Proficient in building front-end applications with React or similar modern JavaScript frameworks</li> <li>Proven ability to collaborate in the design, integration, and delivery of AI-powered features in a SaaS product</li> <li>Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), generative AI APIs, and intelligent automation to deliver differentiated customer value</li> <li>Solid foundation in cloud-native software architecture and development</li> <li>Familiarity with technology stacks and architectures similar to Greenlight Guru's</li> <li>Fluency with REST, RPC, and GraphQL APIs</li> <li>Skilled in writing unit and integration test suites</li> <li>Comfortable working within continuous integration pipelines and automation workflows</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on active listening</li> <li>Highly collaborative with exceptional interpersonal skills</li> <li>Data-driven mindset with a track record of using metrics to guide technical decisions and evolve systems over time</li> <li>Sharp problem-solving and troubleshooting instincts</li> <li>Genuine curiosity about how your code performs and creates impact in the real world</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Benefits you’ll enjoy</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Supportive teammates and co-workers who care deeply about our mission</li> <li>Flexible Paid Time Off policy and working hours</li> <li>Remote-first culture</li> <li>Home Office stipend upon hire</li> <li>Multiple Health insurance options (vision, medical, dental)</li> <li>401k (with company match)&nbsp;</li> <li>Equity Program Eligibility (based on role and/or tenure)</li> <li>Three months of paid maternity leave</li> <li>Disability insurance</li> </ul> <p>This role can be located within the United States or Canada.&nbsp;</p> <p>Greenlight Guru is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
