• Design, architect, and implement software systems that leverage best practices and are designed for scale
• Use AI in day to day development, direct coding agents, build evaluation frameworks, and drive AI adoption in engineering workflows
• Be responsible for developing and owning cloud native applications that span multiple domains across frontend, backend, and testing.
• Deploy and operate software with reliability and scale for our users
• Own deliverables from idea to production launch
• Mentor other engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning 

• 4+ years development experience in Go, Python, Typescript, Javascript, Java, or similar
• 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining SPA’s on frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue.js or similar
• Proficiency with distributed systems built on cloud infrastructure — AWS, GCP, Azure or similar
• Experience developing and owning serverless (e.g. AWS Api Gateway, Lambda) and container-based microservices
• Experience implementing and passion for driving AI adoption in engineering workflows
• Experience architecting large, high-scale durable back-end or front-end systems
• You believe in owning your cloud infrastructure and have experience driving changes through CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (aws-cdk, terraform, pulumi)
• Track record mentoring engineers and elevating teams around you
• Affinity for an engineering culture that emphasizes Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal

• Bachelor/Master of Science in Computer Science or similar
• Familiarity working with regulated software systems (e.g., HIPAA, ISO, FDA)
• Experience architecting and developing event-driven systems following Domain Driven Design
• Familiarity working in an agile environment

• Competitive Compensation: A strong base salary plus an annual performance bonus.
  • Expected Helix Base: $101,333 - $131,145 MXN/monthly
  • Expected Helix Discretionary Annual Bonus: 5% of your annual salary

• Hybrid & Remote Flexibility:
  • Hybrid: Our office is located at WeWork - Varsovia, Mexico City. We gather intentionally in our office space once per week to work on things like pair programming/live collaboration, skillshare sessions, social segments, team lunches, and volunteering opportunities. Juárez, Cuauhtémoc, CDMX.
  • Remote (for team members living 80 km or more outside Mexico City): We'll invite you to our CDMX office 3-6 times a year for key training and team meetings. These visits are a great chance to connect in person and strengthen our Helix community. Helix cover travel and accommodation.
