In this role, you will support and maintain two critical legacy applications slated for eventual sunset. You will directly contribute to the stability, performance, and operational continuity of these applications while managing the transition to newer solutions, ensuring essential business functions remain uninterrupted.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Essential Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Maintain our existing Legacy solutions to ensure our customers have a great experience while we plan its sunset</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Develop and maintain new integrations to new systems to ensure smooth transition from customers from the legacy system to the next gen system</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Apply software engineering best practices, guaranteeing the deliverables’ stability, performance and quality</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Contribute to the strategic sunsetting plan for these applications, including data migration and knowledge transfer</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Required experience</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Extensive API software development experience with Node.Js, Python or similar</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">UI software development experience with React or similar</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience with at least one Relational or Non-Relational database (Postgres, MySQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Redis, etc)</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Cloud software development (AWS, Azure, GCP)</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Test Automation experience (Unit and Integration)</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Will be considered a plus</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">AI tools like Claude Code, Gemini or Anthropic</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience with Event-Driven systems</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or similar)</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Holistic quality assurance (End-to-End, Performance, etc.)</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ)</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Serverless computing (Lambda, SQS, Step Functions)&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Platform Science collects your personal information to support its business operations, including for human resources, employment, benefits administration, health and safety, and other business-related purposes as well as to be in legal compliance.
