About the role
We are looking for a Software Engineer Backend who is passionate about scalable architecture and efficient APIs. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our back-end services and database architecture to ensure high performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and WebSockets using NestJS.
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL and NoSQL.
- Manage asynchronous messaging systems using Pub/Sub for event-driven architecture.
- Ensure high performance and security of our back-end applications.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
- Collaborate with front-end developers to design efficient API contracts.
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented TypeScript code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Stay updated on best practices for scalability, security, and database performance.
- Experience with NestJS and the Node.js ecosystem.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Experience with WebSockets and real-time communication.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization standards (JWT, OAuth).
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Experience with Git and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Ability to write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
Nice to Have
- Experience with Redis for caching and real-time data handling.
- Knowledge of gRPC or GraphQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience deploying applications to Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub).
