This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, data engineering, and applied AI, and involves building scalable applications and services that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.<br>You will work in a cross-functional environment alongside Software Engineers (SWE), Data Engineers (DE), and Data Scientists (DS) to design, develop, and deploy production-grade systems.</p> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain full stack applications (frontend + backend) that interface with internal data platforms</li> <li>Develop APIs and services to support data access, processing, and orchestration</li> <li>Translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions</li> <li>Contribute to system design discussions across SWEs / Data Scientists / Data Engineers</li> <li>Build tools and interfaces that enable efficient data consumption and exploration</li> <li>Partner with data scientists to productionize models and analytics workflows</li> <li>Work closely with data engineers to integrate applications with data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics systems</li> <li>Build and integrate LLM-powered features (e.g., search, summarization, recommendation, or copilots)</li> <li>Work on prompt design, evaluation, and integration of AI services into production systems</li> <li>Collaborate on experimentation and iteration of AI-driven solutions</li> </ul> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"><span lang="en-SG" style="font-weight: bold;">[What we are looking for]</span><span lang="en-US">&nbsp;</span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Rust)</li> <li>Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar)</li> <li>Solid understanding of system design, APIs, and distributed systems</li> <li>Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS</li> <li>Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)</li> <li>Team player with good communication skills.</li> <li>Preferred requirements</li> <li>Relevant experience building production systems</li> <li>Experience working in data platform or data-intensive environments</li> <li>Exposure to data engineering concepts (ETL pipelines, data modeling, orchestration)</li> <li>Experience building or integrating LLM-based or AI-powered applications</li> <li>Experience with ML, deep learning, TensorFlow, Python, NLP</li> <li>Familiarity with tools such as vector databases, embeddings, or model APIs</li> <li>Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure as code)</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"><span lang="en-SG">GovTech&nbsp;is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that values diverse voices and perspectives, as we believe that diversity is the foundation to innovation.   </span><span lang="en-US">&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"><span lang="en-SG">Our employee benefits are based on a total rewards approach, offering a holistic and market-competitive suite of&nbsp;perks.
