<ul>
<li><strong>Design and Development</strong>: Architect, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Java and Python, ensuring high availability and performance.</li>
<li><strong>AI-Augmented Development</strong>: Leverage AI coding assistants and generative AI tools to accelerate feature development, code generation, refactoring, and documentation.</li>
<li><strong>AWS Infrastructure</strong>: Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and manage applications utilising core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB) and AWS AI/ML services (e.g., SageMaker, Bedrock, Comprehend).</li>
<li><strong>Architecture & Standards</strong>: Apply principles of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and leverage Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) to build maintainable and decoupled systems.</li>
<li><strong>API Management</strong>: Design, implement, and secure robust, scalable RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using AWS API Gateway.</li>
<li><strong>Quality & Testing</strong>: Write comprehensive automated tests (Unit, Integration, E2E) using AI-powered testing tools to improve test coverage and identify edge cases; participate in peer code reviews to maintain high code quality and reliability.</li>
<li><strong>AI-Driven Testing & QA</strong>: Utilise AI-based testing frameworks and tools for intelligent test generation, anomaly detection, and predictive quality analysis.</li>
<li><strong>CI/CD & Deployment</strong>: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline) and deploy services using Docker and ECS/Fargate or EKS.</li>
<li><strong>Observability</strong>: Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing tools to ensure high-level observability of production systems (e.g., using CloudWatch, X-Ray, Prometheus/Grafana); leverage AI for anomaly detection and predictive alerting.</li>
<li><strong>Security</strong>: Champion secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10) and ensure all services comply with security best practices and compliance standards; utilise AI-powered security scanning and vulnerability detection tools.</li>
<li><strong>Efficiency</strong>: Proactively adopt modern developer tools, including AI Coding Assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer), to enhance productivity, code quality, and innovation.</li>
<li><strong><span data-contrast="none">[What we are looking for]</span></strong></li>
<li><strong>Experience</strong>: 2 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer working on production systems.</li>
<li><strong>Core Languages</strong>: Expert proficiency in Java and Python.</li>
<li><strong>Cloud Computing</strong>: Strong, hands-on experience developing and deploying applications within the AWS ecosystem.</li>
<li><strong>AI & Machine Learning</strong>: Familiarity with integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications; experience with AWS AI services (SageMaker, Bedrock) or similar platforms is a plus.</li>
<li><strong>Architecture</strong>: Proven understanding and experience implementing Microservices Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).</li>
<li><strong>Data Stores</strong>: Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB preferred).</li>
<li><strong>DevOps</strong>: Familiarity with CI/CD processes and experience with containerisation using Docker.</li>
<li><strong>Security</strong>: Knowledge of industry-standard secure coding practices.</li>
<li><strong>AI-Powered Development Tools</strong>: Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants and AI-driven testing frameworks to improve development velocity and software quality</li>
