You will bring your experience in working with PLCs and/or other OT systems like e.g. robots, into the team.</p> <p>As a Software Engineer (PLC / OT), you will work with your team on evolving the rather traditional architecture of MES like systems integrating via OPC-UA with PLCs into a future-proof architecture built with&nbsp;<strong>Software Defined Manufacturing</strong>&nbsp;in mind. &nbsp;You should be looking forward to developing less PLC / OT code over time and building a solution that allows for full&nbsp;<strong>simulation&nbsp;</strong>of upcoming manufacturing orders.</p> <p>Furthermore, our teams are also responsible for operating and troubleshooting the software they have developed during working hours of the factory.</p> <p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></span></p> <p>As a Software Engineer (f/m/d) on the Product Delivery team, you will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Understanding and explaining</strong>&nbsp;the existing PLC / OT code base from our vendor to the rest of your team.</li> <li>Working together with your team and other teams in Product Delivery to&nbsp;<strong>evolve&nbsp;</strong>the current architecture into a truly&nbsp;<strong>Software Defined Manufacturing</strong>&nbsp;setup.</li> <li>Bringing an o<strong>perational mindset</strong>&nbsp;to monitor, maintain, and improve software uptime including reliable updates, latency, and efficiency</li> <li>Acting as a bridge between digital product delivery &amp; physical logistics and manufacturing systems, ensuring both are aligned and integrated</li> <li>Helping define, monitor and evolve&nbsp;<strong>SLAs/SLOs</strong>&nbsp;as well as other important KPIs like e.g. OEE for critical systems</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>What you bring</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>You are an experienced software / automation engineer with experience in&nbsp;<strong>PLC&nbsp;</strong>or other&nbsp;<strong>OT&nbsp;</strong>technologies</li> <li>You are willing and excited to adopt modern software engineering approaches like code reviews, testing, CI/CD, etc.</li> <li>You have operated and supported large-scale software / OT systems</li> <li>You have worked in companies with&nbsp;<strong>strong operational cultures</strong>, ideally in logistics or manufacturing – understanding the commercial impact of system downtime</li> <li>You are proficient with most of the following technologies:</li> <ul> <li>PLC programming &nbsp;(TIA19 is a plus)</li> <li>Robot programming (KRL is a plus)</li> <li>OPC-UA</li> <li>MQTT is a plus</li> <li>Python / C++ / C# is a plus</li> </ul> <li>You are familiar with monitoring and alerting practices for production systems</li> <li>You have experience defining and working with SLAs/SLOs</li> <li>You are willing to travel to our manufacturing site in Richen whenever needed and within Germany and Austria for in-person team events</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 14pt;">What We Offer</span></h2> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">An&nbsp;</span><strong><span data-contrast="auto">unlimited&nbsp;</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">contract with 30 vacation days.&nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Flexible, hybrid work:</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;You can work from home or come into the office on the schedule that works best for you.
