This role requires solid software engineering fundamentals, the ability to independently deliver well-scoped features, and a collaborative approach to building reliable, scalable, and secure software. The team is responsible for developing and improving foundational platform capabilities that support product innovation and engineering excellence across SolarWinds.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, test, and maintain software components and services.</li> <li>Deliver well-scoped features, enhancements, and bug fixes with high quality and reliability.</li> <li>Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices across the team.</li> <li>Write and maintain unit tests and automated tests to support stable releases.</li> <li>Troubleshoot defects and production issues and implement durable fixes.</li> <li>Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver customer-focused solutions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of software engineering experience through full-time work, internships, or equivalent practical experience.</li> <li>Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, or similar.</li> <li>Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.</li> <li>Experience with version control, debugging, testing, and modern software development practices.</li> <li>Familiarity with APIs, databases, and distributed application fundamentals.</li> <li>Ability to break down tasks, estimate work, and deliver quality code with limited supervision.</li> <li>Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>SolarWinds is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
