Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Applications Tester

<p>Freedom Technology Solutions Group is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Applications Tester to join a new team based out of Herndon, VA!</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li>Assist the Sponsor in the evaluation of software and associated documentation</li> <li>Collaborate with customers to evaluate or diagnose problems; recommend possible solutions</li> <li>Conduct historical analyses of test results</li> <li>Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments</li> <li>Coordinate user or third party testing</li> <li>Create or maintain databases of known test defects</li> <li>Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability</li> <li>Design or develop automated testing tools</li> <li>Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures</li> <li>Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards</li> <li>Estimate software development costs and schedule</li> <li>Develop and define characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters; determine requisite quality control resources</li> <li>Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness</li> <li>Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers</li> <li>Evaluate or recommend software for testing or bug tracking</li> <li>Identify program deviance from standards;
