M0 keeps them independent, so your stablecoin stays yours.</p> <p>M0 is seeking a Solana Smart Contract Engineer who will play a fundamental role in shaping the future of our organization. As a Solana Smart Contract Engineer, you will architect and develop Solana programs in Rust and extend M0’s existing issuance infrastructure with a focus on Token-2022. The ideal candidate is self-driven with strong ownership instincts and a bias for action, brings a computer science background or deep-rooted passion for tackling hard technical problems, and has substantial expertise across Web3 applications and infrastructure. You thrive on deadlines, communicate clearly across functions, and do your best work in a fast-paced environment.</p> <h4><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Architect and develop Solana programs in Rust, using Anchor and/or native frameworks.</li> <li>Maintain and extend M0’s existing issuance infrastructure, with a focus on Token-2022 extensions.</li> <li>Optimize programs for compute unit usage, account size, and transaction packing.</li> <li>Participate actively in code and design reviews.</li> <li>Prepare codebases for third-party audits, including writing comprehensive tests, invariants, and fuzz harnesses.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Qualifications</strong></h4> <ul> <li>5+ years of software engineering experience.</li> <li>2+ years writing production code in Rust.</li> <li>Proven track record of deploying and maintaining complex Solana programs in production.</li> <li>Solana-native: deep working knowledge of the account model, rent, transaction limits, versioned transactions, address lookup tables, etc.</li> <li>Strong familiarity with the SPL Token program, Token-2022, and Associated Token Accounts.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with the broader Solana DeFi ecosystem.</li> <li>Experience with cross-chain messaging and bridging protocols — Wormhole NTT, LayerZero, Hyperlane, or Chainlink CCIP.</li> <li>Basic familiarity with Solidity and EVM development, sufficient to reason about cross-chain message flows and equivalent contract behavior on both sides.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Nice to Have</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Previous experience at a high-growth DeFi protocol, ideally one handling stablecoin issuance, lending, or RWAs.</li> <li>Experience with Solana security tooling and auditing workflows.</li> <li>Contributions to open-source Solana programs, SDKs, or developer tooling.</li> <li>A degree in computer science or a related field.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Skills &amp; Attributes</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Proactive problem solver: You have a forward-thinking mindset, actively identifies opportunities for improvement, and takes decisive action to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.</li> <li>Collaborative communicator: You foster relationships with finance experts, blockchain specialists, back-end developers and designers.&nbsp;</li> <li>Team-oriented mindset: You are always ready to help colleagues within and outside your team and seek assistance when needed</li> <li>Delivery-focused: You have a clear understanding of the objectives and goals and direct your efforts towards achieving them.
