Soldering Technician

<div class="jd-section-employer"> <div class="jd-description-text"> <p><strong>Solder Technician</strong></p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented Solder Technician to support high-volume manufacturing of optical transceivers. This role is responsible for precision soldering, rework, and assembly of sensitive electronic and optical components in a cleanroom environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring product reliability, quality, and throughput as we scale production.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform&nbsp;<strong>hand soldering and rework</strong>&nbsp;on PCBs and microelectronic components (SMT and through-hole)</li> <li>Assemble optical transceiver subcomponents, including fiber and connector interfaces</li> <li>Interpret&nbsp;<strong>assembly drawings, work instructions, and BOMs</strong></li> <li>Inspect solder joints under microscope to meet IPC standards</li> <li>Support&nbsp;<strong>prototype builds and NPI</strong>&nbsp;(new product introduction) as needed</li> <li>Troubleshoot and repair defective assemblies to improve yield</li> <li>Maintain proper handling of&nbsp;<strong>ESD-sensitive and optical components</strong></li> <li>Follow&nbsp;<strong>cleanroom protocols</strong>, including gowning and contamination control</li> <li>Record build data and defects for process tracking and continuous improvement</li> <li>Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of&nbsp;<strong>precision soldering experience</strong>&nbsp;(electronics, telecom, or similar)</li> <li>Experience working under a&nbsp;<strong>microscope</strong>&nbsp;for fine-pitch components</li> <li>Ability to read and follow&nbsp;<strong>technical documentation and schematics</strong></li> <li>Strong attention to detail and steady hand skills</li> <li>Comfortable working in a&nbsp;<strong>cleanroom environment</strong></li> <li>Experience with hand rework of fine-pitch surface mount components (0201, 01005)</li> </ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Certified under IPC 7711/7721, NASA, and other relevant workmanship standards</li> <li>BGA rework station experience</li> </ul> </div> </div> <div class="jd-section-job-taxonomy-attributes"> <p class="jd-header-text">Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401(k)</li> <li>Dental insurance</li> <li>Health insurance</li> <li>Paid time off</li> <li>Vision insurance</li> </ul> </div> <div class="jd-section-job-work-location"> <p class="jd-description-text">Work Location: In person</p> </div>
