About the role

<p>As a Solution Engineer, you dedicate yourself to one of our industry-specific solutions. You develop and improve OMP’s industry solution and enrich its functionality in a robust, innovative, and scalable way, applying your expertise to solve real live industry challenges for our customers.</p>
<p>You are responsible for:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Translating</strong> functional requirements into technical industry-specific solution designs and algorithms.</li>
<li><strong>Fine-tuning and detailing designs and translating them into technical specifications.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Writing code</strong> that lives up to our high-quality standards, in adherence to scrum methodology and compliant with the most recent standards in your preferred technology.</li>
<li><strong>Discussing and validating functional requirements</strong> in close collaboration with our seasoned solution managers, solution analysts, and solution consultants.</li>
<li><strong>Reviewing code</strong> written by your team members.</li>
<li><strong>Collaborating closely with software and quality assurance test engineers, analysts, consultants, technical writers, and project managers.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Maintaining and supporting</strong> <strong>your developments</strong> according to user feedback.</li>
<li><strong>Growing your expertise and command in your favorite technology. </strong></li>

<p>Essential talents and qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar, or equivalent by experience.</li>
<li>Passionate about writing high-quality software.</li>
<li>Powerful technical skills and a creative mindset.</li>
<li>The eagerness to learn and stay on the edge of technology.</li>
<li>Excellent algorithmic and conceptual thinking.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>A passion for working in a multinational, customer-driven environment.</li>
<li>A customer-centric attitude.</li>
</ul>
<p>Bonus points if you have:</p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant work experience, including internships.</li>
<li>Experience in using software development best practices (e.g., design patterns, UML, Git, automated testing).</li>
<li>Experience in developing multi-tier, asynchronous and distributed systems.</li>
