<p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <p>Sourcing Manager, Indirect Procurement IT (contractor)&nbsp;</p> <p>We are seeking a Sourcing Manager (contractor) for Indirect Materials with a strong background in procurement, sourcing and supplier management in support of indirect procurement categories such IT, SaaS, Consulting, and other relevant spend to join our Global Supply Chain Team. The Sourcing Manager contractor will be responsible for optimizing enterprise software expenditures, drive the end-to-end purchasing process, leading commercial negotiations, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring software licenses and subscriptions meet business requirements. This candidate will work with cross-functional teams and will play a key role in supporting organizational success in deploying supply chain management best practices and spend control.</p> <p>Individuals applying for this position must be self-starters, strategic thinkers, action driven, flexible in changing direction and methods, thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at managing multiple priorities, succeed in communicating with all levels within the organization and provide immediate contribution.<br><br></p> <p><strong>What you will be doing:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strategic Sourcing: Lead RFx processes, competitive bidding, and vendor evaluations for enterprise software, cloud subscriptions (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), and AI/LLM infrastructure.</li> <li>Complex Negotiations: Structure and negotiate favorable commercial terms, pricing structures, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Master Service Agreements (MSAs).</li> <li>Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Legal, Security, and Finance teams to ensure software roadmaps and vendor capabilities align with enterprise objectives.</li> <li>Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for baseline cost reductions, cost avoidance, and software license consolidation.</li> <li>Contract &amp; Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full contract lifecycle from execution to renewals and terminations, proactively managing renewal cadences.</li> <li>Vendor Governance: Lead supplier business reviews, monitor SLA compliance, and evaluate supplier performance to ensure continuous value and innovation.</li> <li>Market Intelligence: Maintain benchmark data, track software licensing metrics (e.g., consumption models, seat-based pricing), and analyze supply market trends.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience: 5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management experience, with a heavy emphasis on software and technology.</li> <li>Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of software licensing models, cloud consumption pricing, and commercial levers.</li> <li>Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to drive complex negotiations and secure cost-effective agreements while mitigating corporate and legal risks.</li> <li>Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).</li> <li>Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement and sourcing tools (e.g., Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, or SAP) and software asset management.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>#LI-MH1 #LI-Onsite</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Below is the base pay range for this full-time position.&nbsp; The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.&nbsp; At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.&nbsp; This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program. &nbsp; During the hiring process, your 10x recruiter can share more about the Company’s total compensation package.</p></div><div class="title">Hourly</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$55</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$75 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>About 10x Genomics</strong></p> <p>At 10x Genomics, accelerating our understanding of biology is more than a mission for us.
