What you'll do
- Undertake comprehensive, child-centred assessments that consider safety, wellbeing, and the underlying drivers of behaviour
- Develop and deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions for tamariki who have engaged in harmful or concerning sexual behaviour
- Work closely with whānau, caregivers, schools, and other professionals to support safe, consistent, and nurturing environments
- Promote accountability, safety, and positive behaviour change while upholding the mana and dignity of each child
- Contribute to safety planning and risk management alongside multidisciplinary partners
- Maintain accurate client records and actively participate in reflective clinical review processes

What you bring
- A recognised qualification in psychology, counselling, social work, or a related mental health discipline, with current professional registration (e.g. NZ Psychologists Board, NZAC, SWRB)
- Experience (or a strong interest) in working with tamariki who display harmful or concerning sexual behaviours, ideally within a trauma-informed framework
- Sound understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and risk assessment
- Ability to balance therapeutic engagement with accountability and safety
- Strong skills in working with whānau and building collaborative, culturally responsive relationships
