About the role
Function at a senior level with the primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the timely and accurate flow of Syndicated, client and retailer direct sales data into various tools and resources, across the assigned internal and external clients. Support the usage of end user reports created by various Acosta tools and resources, across the assigned internal and external clients, by ensuring quality and accuracy. Assist in training and support of the Data Reporting and Analytical Excellence team.
- Under general supervision, manages the extracts of syndicated data, retailer direct, Spectra and Panel by analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and recommending changes to achieve client objectives. Partner with National Client Insight Managers and the Marketing Services team in the development and maintenance of ASSET tools, templates and category reporting reviews.
- Ensure timely and accurate flow of syndicated data (including IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, Homescan panel, and store level) to various resource areas supported by the Analytical Excellence team (ASSET tools, InfoLync, Catalyst) as assigned.
- Responsible for data accuracy that may require analyzing data for completeness, format and conformity dealing independently and directly with syndicated data companies and IT.
- Assist in training and orientation of internal and external clients in the use of Asset tools, templates and resources as required. Develop required level of expertise for assigned categories.
- Manage troubleshooting of issues that may require analysis of reports, system processes, procedures and data in order to address issues, assist and/or recommend solutions to IT or data source providers for assigned clients and tools.
- May require interfacing directly with clients and retailers in the role of data reporting, set up and analysis for Acosta tools and templates.
- Perform user-acceptance-testing for company technology solutions and analytical tools.
- Provide guidance and support to the Data Reporting team in the training, development, implementation and execution of Asset tools and templates.
- Other duties and assignments as outlined by Acosta Analytical Excellence Team Management.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Associate in Science Degree
- Graduate Degree
- Some College
- Bachelor of Arts Degree or equivalent work experience
- Certified Public Accountant
- Associate in Arts Degree
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- Other (Enter)
Experience Requirement:
- Must have a college degree or three years experience in syndicated data reporting or experience in client service management.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:
- Must be able to demonstrate an advanced degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Knowledge of Visual Basic and advanced macros would be a strong asset.
- Experience with IRI Xlerate Plus and/or Nielsen Nitro would be an asset.
- Experience with syndicated, POS and store level data and formats.
