About the role
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced and </span>dedicated Specialist Occupational Therapist to deliver high‑quality assessments and interventions for children and young people with significant physical, cognitive, or sensory impairments.</p>
<p>You will play a vital role within Children’s Social Care, ensuring that every child you work with receives tailored, meaningful support that promotes independence, safety, and wellbeing. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact for Brent’s children and families.</p>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">What will your responsibilities be?</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":0,"335559739":0}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver specialist Occupational Therapy assessments in line with legislation and Brent’s eligibility criteria.</li>
<li>Provide social care interventions for children with complex needs.</li>
<li>Develop personalised plans to promote independence, including:
<ul>
<li>Equipment and assistive technology</li>
<li>Home adaptations</li>
<li>Specialist seating</li>
<li>Manual handling plans</li>
<li>Environmental assessments</li>
</ul>

<li>Support the child’s learning, development, play, social participation, and inclusion.</li>
<li>Assess the needs of carers and ensure eligible support is identified and provided.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with families, carers, schools, health partners, and social care colleagues to deliver a coordinated, child‑centred service.</li>

<li>HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist</li>
<li>Strong experience working with children with disabilities in a Social Care setting</li>
<li>Excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills</li>
<li>Strong communication and multi‑agency working capabilities</li>
<li>Commitment to child‑centred, strengths‑based practice</li>
</ul>

<p><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":0,"335559739":0}">This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a set number of days each week required in the office at 32 Engineers Way, Wembley.<br>This gives a balance of collaborative team working, home‑based focus time, and direct intervention.</span></p>
