<p>We are seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team, with onboarding and initial placement in Ophthalmology until the Oncology service launches in September 2026. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical excellence, collaboration, and professionalism in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.</p>
<p>This position requires flexibility with scheduling and the ability to work additional hours when necessary to support patient care and hospital needs.</p>

<div class="react-pdf__Page__textContent textLayer" data-main-rotation="0"><strong><span id="p24R_mc4" class="markedContent">Essential Responsibilities</span></strong><span id="p24R_mc5" class="markedContent"><br></span>
<ul>
<li><span id="p24R_mc6" class="markedContent">Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medical conditions and procedures commonly utilized, diagnosed or performed within the veterinary industry</span></li>
<li>Intensive treatment and patient care per DVM instructions</li>
<li>Patient care (phlebotomy, IVC placement, medication administration, nursing tasks)</li>
<li>Induce, maintain, monitor and recover patients from general anesthesia</li>
<li>Monitor general anesthesia for varying risk classifications</li>
<li>All technical skills should be at the highest level of competency</li>
<li>Ability to process and run in-house labs and help prepare specimens for outside reference labs</li>
<li>Able to perform moderately physically demanding work that requires lifting (up to 50lbs)</li>
</ul>
<span id="p24R_mc25" class="markedContent"><br><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></span><span id="p24R_mc26" class="markedContent"><br></span>
<ul>
<li><span id="p24R_mc27" class="markedContent">CVT license active in Oregon or eligible for transfer</span></li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician</li>
<li>Minimum 1 year of ER / ICU or Specialty experience</li>
<li>Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases and unpleasant odors</li>
<li>High school diploma or GED</li>
</ul>
<strong><span id="p24R_mc42" class="markedContent">Preferred Skills</span></strong><span id="p24R_mc43" class="markedContent"><br></span>
<ul>
<li><span id="p24R_mc44" class="markedContent">Familiarity with Smartflow/Ezyvet</span></li>
<li>Strong analytical, critical thinking, judgement and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Work independently with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Familiarity with oncology and or ophthalmology practices a bonus!</li>
