POSITION OVERVIEW ThreatLocker’s SQL Developer plays a key role in building and optimizing high-performance SQL queries that power critical application features. This role focuses on designing and implementing scalable data workflows, writing stored procedures, tuning query performance, and integrating data across systems through ETL pipelines. The developer also collaborates closely with engineering and product teams to support reporting, analytics, and data migrations—ensuring fast, reliable access to data while enforcing secure access controls. The role will be based in Orlando, FL and is an in-office position. JOB DUTIES The SQL Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to: <ul> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Develop and optimize high-performance T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and user-defined functions  </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Design and implement SQL databases aligned to end-user needs and application requirements </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Build scalable ETL workflows using SSIS packages and improve their architecture for speed and reliability </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Investigate and resolve performance issues—index tuning, transaction log handling, and query optimization </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Migrate data across platforms while ensuring integrity, consistency, and zero downtime </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Create solutions that distribute data to the right users at the right time, in the right format </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Monitor and fine-tune database configurations to ensure fast and stable query responses </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Regularly test systems to maintain data security, privacy, and compliance standards </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Provide hands-on data access support and troubleshooting for application and internal users </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Collaborate with the dev team to establish development standards and ensure consistent practices </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Document schema designs, development workflows, and database policies clearly </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Apply patches, updates, and system changes as needed for ongoing reliability </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">Deliver technical support for various in-house applications and systems </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="10" data-aria-posinset="16" data-aria-level="1">This position requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule and periodic adjusted work hours, including an 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM shift rotation, based on business needs and once training is completed. Additional compensation for on-call coverage will be provided in accordance with company policy </li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS <ul> <li>Minimum of three years of experience with SQL server </li> <li>Proficient in writing code for update queries, update data dictionaries as new fields are added to the database, and maintain a data correction log </li> <li>Experience managing database utilities and monitoring relationships between users and applications </li> <li>Knowledgeable in network hardware and software </li> <li>Proficient in understanding of relational databases concepts and query languages to design summary and aggregate tables which support analysis </li> <li>Experienced in creating and maintaining data correction logs that identify the date the correction that was performed, tables and fields effected, submission effected, error code effected, and other pertinent metadata. </li> </ul> WORKING CONDITIONS The duties described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. If necessary, reasonable accommodation may be requested and will be evaluated for its relationship to the essential functions that must be performed. <ul> <li>Job will generally be performed in an office environment but may require travel to visit company offices and/or property locations.</li> <li>While performing duties of this job, would occasionally require to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects and tools.</li> <li>Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.</li> <li>Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.</li> </ul> A background check and drug/substance screening are required after a conditional offer. Employment will proceed only upon receiving clear results from both. ThreatLocker also conducts randomized drug and substance testing approximately every 60 days, in line with the same screening standards.
