About the role
We are seeking a proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), preferably with VMware experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have systems administration expertise, a strong understanding of Linux and Windows environments, and a deep knowledge of networking, virtualization, and automation.
The SRE team is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our infrastructure and the processes that go with it. The team is responsible for all aspects of running our virtual environments, from deployments all the way up to maintenance and lifecycle management. Our SRE team works closely with the NOC, Cloud and Network teams to maintain smooth day-to-day operations and ensure reliable system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and optimize VMware and Proxmox infrastructure.
• Administer and support Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.) and Windows systems.
• Proactively monitor system health, set up environments, and ensure optimal performance.
• Full product lifecycle, including updates/patches, upgrades and maintenance.
• Automate administration tasks, deployments, monitoring, and other operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for infrastructure management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL processes for incident management, change management, and problem resolution.
We want you to
• Have 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Have a good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, subnetting, switching, routing, and port configurations.
• Have a good working experience from enterprise backup products.
• Be comfortable in having direct customer interaction.
• Adhere to best practice in everything you do.
• Have a problem solving and can-do attitude.
• Have a challenger attitude, to drive and implement change within your area of expertise.
• Be used to working according to ITIL processes
