<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a skilled Staging Technician with a strong understanding of satellite communication systems and related hardware. This role is responsible for preparing, assembling, testing, and validating equipment prior to deployment in field environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with RF systems, demonstrates technical expertise in troubleshooting and calibration, and brings a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to support high-quality system delivery.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform testing, alignment, and calibration of equipment to ensure it meets defined technical specifications and quality standards</li>
<li>Install and validate software on all equipment, ensuring readiness for deployment based on project requirements</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues, including signal loss, hardware malfunctions, and performance inconsistencies using specialized tools</li>
<li>Assemble and integrate equipment into racks following engineering guidelines and industry best practices</li>
<li>Support equipment lifecycle processes, including coordinating returns and repairs with vendors when necessary</li>
<li>Assist in the installation and maintenance of communication gateway systems and associated infrastructure</li>
<li>Work with various system components such as antennas, converters, and related hardware to ensure proper functionality</li>
<li>Provide on-site or remote support for deployments and installations as needed</li>
<li>Travel occasionally to support staging, installation, and operational activities across multiple locations</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)</li>
<li>Relevant certifications in satellite communications or related disciplines are a plus</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>
<p>A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in RF engineering, field engineering, or a similar technical role with exposure to communication systems</p>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Hands-on experience working with communication systems and associated hardware components</li>
<li>Proficiency in using RF testing tools such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators</li>
<li>Strong understanding of system integration, testing, and staging processes</li>
<li>Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues</li>
<li>Experience managing hardware inventory or equipment lifecycle processes</li>
<li>Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional or distributed teams</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Proven ability to solve problems in fast-paced, technical environments</li>
<li>High attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in all deliverables</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Technology Stack:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Radio Frequency (RF) testing and measurement instruments (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators)</li>
<li>General electronic testing and diagnostic tools</li>
<li>Networking fundamentals and configuration tools</li>
<li>Equipment staging and rack integration systems</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ability to work in a standard technical or warehouse environment and use a computer for extended periods</li>
<li>Ability to lift and move technical equipment as needed (within reasonable limits)</li>
<li>Willingness and ability to travel periodically to support deployments and installations</li>
</ul>
