<div class="fr-view"><strong>WHO WE ARE:</strong> <p>Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan since 1955, Lumbermen’s operates in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Minnesota. &nbsp;A leading distributor and manufacturer, we are driven by our mission to enrich lives by intentionally caring for all who experience us. &nbsp;We are&nbsp;<strong>employee owned</strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>relationship powered</strong>.</p> <p><strong>SHIFT: </strong>1st, 4AM start time.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p> <p>Based out of our Byron Center, MI facility, the Stone Fabrication team fabricates quartz, granite, and other hard surface countertops. &nbsp;Day-to-day responsibilities include:</p> <p>Stone Countertop Fabrication team is responsible for:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Job layout and optimization of materials</li> <li>Properly measuring and cutting materials (includes the use of state-of-the-art Saw/Waterjet machines, CNC machines and polishers)</li> <li>Building countertops to customer specifications</li> <li>Quality inspection and staging of materials for shipment or installation.</li> <li>Preparing and labeling countertops for shipment</li> <li>Locating and running job programs on CNC machine</li> <li>Processing customer orders in a timely manner ensuring excellent quality of all products.</li> <li>Always maintaining safe work procedures.</li> <li>Maintaining the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the work area as assigned by the Production Manager</li> </ul> <p>At Lumbermen’s, our business is built on relationships. &nbsp;It’s crucial that the person selected to fill this role is a safety-minded team player who gets energy from contributing to collaborative success.&nbsp;</p> <p>This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance for uniform, protective footwear, and PPE.</p> <p><strong>WHO WE NEED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High School diploma/GED required</li> <li>Prior CNC Experience is a plus</li> <li>Hilo operator’s license (will train if needed)</li> <li>Prior fabrication or construction experience desired</li> <li id="isPasted">Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 100 lbs</li> <li>Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day</li> <li>Ability to bend, twist, and stoop</li> </ul> <p><strong>KEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Attention to detail.</li> <li>Teamwork mentality</li> <li>Mechanical Aptitude</li> <li>Punctual and dependable</li> <li>Strong positive work ethic</li> <li>Desire to “do things right the first time”</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabricate from digital templates and CAD drawings.</li> <li>Ability to read a tape measure and understand dimensions.</li> <li>Knowledge of mathematics including fractions and decimals</li> <li>Ability to effectively work and communicate with fellow employee owners</li> <li>Ability to or willingness to learn to operate tools listed above and obtain new skills</li> <li>Knowledge of structural design integrity</li> <li>Self-starter</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT WE OFFER:</strong></p> <p>Lumbermen’s exists to enrich the lives of people by intentionally caring for all who experience us. &nbsp;You will experience a different kind of work environment and “family” here and help live out the Lumbermen’s promises of&nbsp;<em>committing to those who count on us</em>,&nbsp;<em>doing what’s right</em>,&nbsp;<em>exercising sound business practices</em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>earning consideration</em>.
