This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.  JetZero is developing a blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft. It uses up to 50% less fuel and will be built to accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. That future will only be possible if we share our vision and what it means to people’s lives: carbon-free flight that' is better for both passengers and airlines around the world. </div><h3>What You’ll Do:</h3> JetZero is in growth mode. As a Senior Structures Analysis Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing and verifying the structural integrity of the aircraft.  <ul> <li>Conceptualize, size, and analyze new structure and potential repairs to safely and effectively carry load adhering to spatial and regulatory requirements</li> <li>Conduct trade studies across multiple variables and clearly present results and recommendations</li> <li>Perform static analysis using textbook hand calculation methods, including classical laminate theory</li> <li>Generate, review, and query loads/stresses as appropriate from finite element models ranging from aircraft scale to detailed component scale</li> <li>Author, review, and/or approve:</li> <li>Engineering strength and analysis reports</li> <li>Structural analysis engineering processes and manuals</li> <li>Enterprise tools adhering to JetZero analysis policy/procedure</li> <li>Work with various company departments to ensure integrated structural designs meet all system and aircraft-level requirements.</li> </ul> Additional responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop and coordinate Building Block test program</li> <li>Conduct test programs as necessary to validate that structures architecture meet all requirements</li> <li>Generate, review, and/or approve: <ul> <li>Structural test plans and reports</li> <li>Compliance documentation</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h3>What You Bring:</h3> You are passionate about accelerating the future of aerospace and crave the opportunity to join a team of like-minded individuals.  You have energy to meet the challenge ahead and are ready are ready to describe your expertise and the unique value you would bring to the team.   Preferred Analysis Experience: <ul> <li>Composite and Metallic Structures, Principle Structural Elements, Primary Structural Elements, Load Path Optimization, Bolted Joint Analysis, Bonded Joint Analysis, Critical Failure Mode Identification.</li> </ul> Preferred Software Experience: <ul> <li>Siements NX/FiberSim</li> <li>Simcenter 3D</li> <li>Altair Hyperworks</li> <li>FEMAP</li> <li>Nastran</li> <li>Optistruct</li> </ul> Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited university. <h3>Compensation: </h3> Our compensation package is a blend of base salary and equity options for eligible employees. The range for this role is $135,000-165,000.
