If this sparks your interest, you’re in the right place.</p></div><p><a href="https://www.dlrgroup.com/" target="_blank">DLR Group</a><strong>&nbsp;has an opening for a Structural Engineer.</strong></p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>As a Structural Engineer/Structural Designer at DLR Group you will be responsible for the design of structural systems from schematics through construction administration on a wide range of building types. As part of the integrated design team you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design.<br><br>If you are a collaborative designer with a strategic mindset this is the position for you. We rely on all our employee-owners to apply their financial acumen to grow the Firm profitably.</p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop structural designs from concept through completion of construction</li> <li>Prepare engineering design calculations and structural system layouts</li> <li>Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives</li> <li>Coordinate structural design requirements with architecture, structure and other disciplines</li> <li>Produce construction documents using Revit</li> <li>Write and review specifications</li> <li>Review shop drawings, RFIs and submittals</li> <li>Conduct site visits when needed</li> <li>Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and clients as part of our integrated design process</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering</li> <li>8-15 years of buildings structural engineering experience, including the design of concrete, masonry, steel, wood materials; gravity and lateral systems</li> <li>Working knowledge of current structural software (ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA, Enercalc)</li> <li>Goal oriented with strong skills in problem solving, creativity, and attention to detail</li> <li>Understanding of commercial building materials, systems, and assemblies</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master’s degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering</li> <li>Experience and interest in sustainable building design</li> <li>Experience with BIM including Autodesk Revit workflow</li> <li>Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, but not required</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><a href="http://www.dlrgroup.com/" target="_blank" data-cke-saved-href="http://www.dlrgroup.com/">DLR Group</a> is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new builds, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects.</p> <p>We are 100% employee-owned: every employee is literally invested in our clients’ success.
