Structural Engineer

You’ll be helping grow a longstanding business while receiving the recognition and support your commitment to professional growth deserves.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Performs in lead technical role through the entire lifecycle of a project including development of design documents including calculations, engineering plans, and specifications</li> <li>Works independently in directing junior engineering and design staff on various design and construction tasks; and provides regular communication and updates to the project manager.</li> <li>Exhibits strong project management knowledge and skills demonstrated by the ability to proficiently develop and complete a project schedule while having the adaptability to make appropriate changes when required.</li> <li>Performs occasional field work to perform construction inspection for compliance with industry and client standards.</li> <li>Support business development by assisting with proposals to provide engineering services.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering (or related field)</li> <li>Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Utah (or have the ability to obtain such a license within three months)</li> <li>5+ years of structural engineering experience preferred</li> <li>Experience with Finite Element Analysis/modeling (Risa 3D, Dlubal RFEM 6 or similar) preferred</li> <li>Must be detail and quality oriented</li> <li>Ability to successfully manage client relationships</li> <li>Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and maintain flexibility to changes in work assignments as changes occur in projects</li> <li>Ability to mentor and direct efforts of EITs and receive direction from senior level managers</li> <li>Excellent verbal skills exhibited in meetings, one–on-one exchanges and presentations; good written communication skills required for writing in a technical format</li> <li>Must work well with others as the position requires a great deal of collaboration both within the office and with clientele</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft Office Suite</li> <li>AutoCAD experience preferred</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why you'll love working for us:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Company-subsidized medical and dental.</li> <li>Company-paid life, short, and long-term disability.</li> <li>401k match, tuition assistance, and more.</li> <li>Cross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects.</li> <li>Performance-based bonuses or other incentives.</li> <li>Working with the best and brightest in the industry.</li> <li>2,000+ employee national firm with 70+ locations across the US.</li> </ul> <div data-ccp-timestamp="1739557098598"> <table style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 263pt;" width="351"> <tbody> <tr style="height: 14.25pt;"> <td style="width: 263pt; height: 14.25pt;" width="351" height="19">Apex Job Title: Engineer 3 - Sr Project Engineer</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </div> <p>Req ID: 11554</p>
