Summer Teaching Assistant - Language Arts

We have the perfect opportunity for you!</p> <p><strong>The Teaching Assistant will:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Support Instruction:</strong>&nbsp;Assist instructors with company-created curriculum and materials, helping advanced students grasp complex concepts.</li> <li><strong>Student Support:&nbsp;</strong>Work one-on-one with students during class activities and provide additional help when needed.</li> <li><strong>Classroom Management:</strong>&nbsp;Help maintain an organized learning environment and assist in managing up to 16 students.</li> <li><strong>Assignment Support:</strong>&nbsp;Assist with grading and providing constructive feedback on student work.</li> <li><strong>Build Relationships</strong>: Connect with students and staff members to encourage their learning journey and academic growth.</li> <li><strong>Foster Learning:</strong>&nbsp;Help create an environment that promotes critical thinking and academic curiosity.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Ideal Candidate has:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be 16 years old or older</li> <li>Possess strong Language Arts skills with the ability to help students navigate advanced concepts</li> <li>Experience with/interest in working with younger students strongly preferred</li> <li>Exceptional written and spoken communication</li> <li>Positive and encouraging attitude that helps students feel comfortable asking questions&nbsp;</li> <li>Detail-oriented and organized</li> <li>Familiarity with the AoPS curriculum is not required, but a plus</li> </ul> <p><strong>Not Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prior teaching experience or education coursework is not required for this position.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Location and Schedule:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-weight: 400;">As this is an in-person position at our Millburn&nbsp;campus location, candidates must be located in Millburn/Short Hills, NJ or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the summer, we offer multiple two-week camps between July-August.
