The Superintendent - Scaffolding is a Saudi Aramco certified Scaffolding Supervisor Level I professional responsible for the planning, implementation, supervision, and overall leadership of all scaffolding activities across the project. The role includes preparing scaffold plans, ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, coordinating resources, and leading the scaffolding team to achieve safe, efficient, and quality execution. The position also serves as the departmental focal point for technical guidance, manpower management, and performance improvement of the scaffolding function.
- Prepare, review, and authorize scaffolding plans, drawings, and access layouts for routine and complex work fronts, including heavy-duty, cantilever, suspended, brown zone, pipe rack, and confined space access requirements.
- Ensure all scaffolding activities comply with Saudi Aramco standards, GI requirements, project procedures, and applicable safety regulations.
- Lead scaffold erection, modification, tagging, inspection coordination, handover, revalidation, and dismantling activities.
- Assess scaffold material suitability, component integrity, board conditions, and fitting compliance prior to use.
- Coordinate with construction, maintenance, operations, HSE, and inspection teams to provide safe and efficient access solutions.
- Support critical project activities such as shutdowns, SIMOPS, tie-ins, elevated hot work, and confined space entry through timely scaffold planning and deployment.
- Conduct scaffold risk assessments, work-front walk downs, method statement reviews, and technical evaluations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and advanced problem-solving support to scaffold supervisors, foremen, and scaffold crews.
- Monitor crew productivity, material utilization, scaffold turnaround time, and work sequencing for optimum performance.
- Lead and manage the entire scaffolding department, including supervisors, foremen and scaffold crews.
- Develop scaffolding execution strategies aligned with construction priorities.
- Plan manpower deployment, shift coverage, overtime control, crew balancing, and resource optimization across multiple work fronts.
- Coordinate scaffold material forecasting, yard management, equipment availability, and logistics support with project management and supply chain teams.
- Lead incident investigations, near-miss analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned related to scaffolding operations.
- Drive competency development, coaching, succession planning, and leadership growth for junior supervisors and scaffold personnel.
- Interface with client representatives, including Saudi Aramco proponent, inspection, and loss prevention teams, on all scaffolding-related matters.
- Support cost control by minimizing material loss, overbuilding, idle manpower, delays, and rework.
- Saudi Aramco Certified Scaffolding Supervisor – 1, Must have Nebosh.
- Saudi Aramco Certified
- Minimum 10 years of Experience in the Scaffolding department and HSE
