What does a Supplier Quality Team Leader role mean at Prinova?
As the Supplier Quality team Leader, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of supplier and manufacturer quality assurance, ensuring that ingredients sourced globally meet the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer expectations.
You will will drive supplier performance, oversee audit programmes and strengthen the Quality Management System across the supply base. You will lead a team responsible for supplier compliance, audit readiness and continuous improvement, while supporting business growth through robust and scalable quality processes.

What to expect?
- Coordinate and lead different phases of the approval process including documentation, RM assessments, organizing external testing, risk assessments, audit recommendations and approval
- Design, implement and monitor purchasing and associated LIMS specifications for new RM & update existing ones where appropriate
- Perform annual risk assessment for RM and lead RM analytical monitoring and Supplier monitoring audits with the Quality Department
- Manage site and raw material Halal and Kosher status
- Provide training where required on topics relating to approvals and monitoring.
- Collection, review and filing of documentation from suppliers during approval process
- Compile summary reports for audits and customer requests on RM and suppliers
- Manage customers notifications & approval processes
- Perform annual risk assessment on suppliers and 3rd party contractors
- Lead Kosher and Halal certification for the UK site
- Support Continuous Improvement program initiatives
- Support the completion of customer questionnaires for matters related to RM
- Support project work relating to RM legislative changes
- Provide support to HACCP & TACCP Team
- Manage Supplier Quality Technologist, Raw Material Sampler and any other supporting role.
- Report and escalate matters to Assistant Quality Manager
- Liaise with the regulatory team to carry out regulatory checks.
- Ensure compliance for target markets (predominantly UK, EU & GB)
- Raise issues with suppliers
Does this sound like you?
- 4+ years experience within a Quality, Technical or R&D role in the Food Industry preferable.
- Relevant Chemical science or Food science degree- desirable.
- Great understanding of Quality requirements and standards in the food and nutritional supplement industry. (FSSC (or other GFSI), HACCP, VACCP)
- Knowledge of Food regulations, JECFA and Pharmacopeial standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate timely and effectively on issues
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Assist in managing Quality department budget
- Familiarity or general aptitude for ERP and LIMS systems is preferred
- A high level of business English is essential for this role
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Great project management skills
- Ability to work autonomously, fast learner, willing to take initiative
- Resilient and confident to interact with senior members of the management team
- IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Especially proficient in Excel.
