About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor ESG-related laws, regulations and trends across different jurisdictions and assess their impact on the business.
- Provide legal and compliance guidance on ESG topics to internal stakeholders, management and external partners.
- Conduct internal audits and gap assessments of ESG-related policies and processes.
- Draft, review and maintain internal ESG policies, procedures and governance documentation.
- Coordinate ESG-related disclosures and support sustainability reporting processes in line with regulatory requirements.
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Impact and People teams to integrate ESG requirements into business processes.
- Design and deliver internal ESG trainings and awareness sessions.
- Support ESG data collection and contribute to the review of sustainability metrics and disclosures.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal, Sustainability, or related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing impactful ESG strategies, reporting and disclosure in regulated environments, non-financial data management
- Experience in strategic planning, corporate governance frameworks and their application within large organizations, cross-functional communication, including C-level
- Knowledge or experience with non-financial reporting and ESG standards and reporting frameworks and ratings, including IFRS, ESRS, GRI, SASB, CDP, Sustainalytics and S&P
- Relevant work experience 2+ years in ESG or Corporate Sustainability roles in BIG4 consulting - must
- Experience in audit of non-financial reporting and ESG ratings - must
- ESG data management skills (collection, tracking, analysis) as an advantage
- Attention to detail, pragmatic thinking
- Time management, multitasking
- Proactivity, willingness to make changes and improve existing processes
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Change management skills to lead and support organizational transformation initiatives
- Advanced strategic thinking to align organizational goals with actionable plans
