<p>The Senior Vice President, Compliance Officer is a senior leadership role responsible for providing regulatory guidance in addition to leading key components of the compliance function for Fortitude Re. This includes ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations, developing and implementing compliance policies, and leading a team of compliance professionals. This will be a unique role where the SVP, Compliance Officer will lead the execution and operationalization of the enterprise compliance framework and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the broader compliance team. The SVP, Compliance Officer works closely with senior management, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to maintain a robust compliance framework and mitigate compliance risks. This position will report directly to the Managing Director, Chief Compliance Officer and operates with significant autonomy in executing compliance strategy. </p>

<p>Offer strategic regulatory and compliance counsel to business and functional partners including People and Culture practice with specific focus on crisis management and incident response, technology and cybersecurity matters, privacy and information security, third-party risk oversight, regulatory reporting and the governance of artificial intelligence. </p>

<p>Strategic Compliance Leadership </p>

<p>Act as a senior advisor to the Chief Compliance Officer. </p>

<p>Support the Chief Compliance Officer in delivering strategic regulatory and compliance guidance. </p>

<p>Lead and manage teams within the compliance function, setting objectives and expectations for the team. </p>

<p>Drive execution of compliance priorities across teams. </p>

<p>Compliance Framework and Program Management: </p>
</div>

<p>Lead the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the compliance framework including the Company’s Policies and Standards. </p>

<p>Oversee periodic compliance monitoring and testing. </p>
</li>

<p>Ensure the organization’s operations comply with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations. </p>
</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>
<p>Review, conduct gap analysis and implement compliance policies and controls to comply with new regulations. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of the compliance program and make necessary adjustments. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Oversee and support execution of key elements of the corporate compliance program including Cyber, Privacy, Data Security, Data Governance, AI Governance, AML, Fraud, Code of Conduct, third party risk management, etc. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Contribute to the Companies Governance processes, including board reporting. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Oversee and manage Compliance technology systems and operations (i.e., Regulatory Filings, Policy Framework, etc.) </p>
</li>
</ul>

<p>Crisis Management and Incident Response </p>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Lead and execute the crisis management strategy defined by the CCO. </p>
</li>
</ul>

<p>Oversee the legal and compliance function in all crisis management and incident response activities, ensuring swift, compliant, and coordinated actions across the organization. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Partner with regulators and support regulatory interactions, providing legal/regulatory guidance during crises including guidance on regulatory, reputational, and contractual implications. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Oversee incident response governance, including investigation standards and escalation protocols, and ensuring robust investigation and reporting frameworks are in place. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Collaborate with executive leadership, communications, and risk teams to develop and execute response strategies that minimize legal exposure and reputational damage. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Regulatory Examinations, Monitoring and Reporting: Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the organization. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>

<p>Ensure timely and accurate submission of all crisis-related regulatory filings and reports. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Manage and support regulatory examinations, including data collection, review and submission to regulators. </p>

<p>Act as a key contact for regulators in coordination with the Chief Compliance Officer and respond to inquiries, audits, and investigations. </p>

<p>Active participation in industry groups and leadership forums to drive regulatory engagement. </p>

<p>Risk Management: </p>

<p>Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks. </p>

<p>Collaborate with the risk management and internal audit teams to identify and address compliance risks. </p>

<p>Training and Education: </p>

<p>Lead development and delivery of compliance training programs for employees at all levels. </p>

<p>Provide ongoing guidance and support on complex compliance issues. </p>

<p>Reviews and Investigations: </p>
</div>

<p>Provide primary legal and compliance leadership and support for employee investigations, including recommendations and resolutions of issues. </p>

<p>Manage the company’s Ethics Hotline, including reviews and investigations. </p>

<p>Team Leadership and Development: </p>

<p><strong>What You Will Have:</strong> </p>
</div>

<p>Bachelor’s degree in compliance, finance, accounting, business administration, law, or a related field. </p>
</li>
</ul>

<p>Advanced degree (MBA, JD) or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>

<p>Minimum of 15 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field within a regulated industry. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Experience in the reinsurance or insurance industry preferred. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Investigation expertise, including employment and labor law experience preferred. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Extensive experience in developing and implementing effective compliance programs. </p>
</li>
</ul>
</div>

<ul>
<li>
<p>Proven track record of managing interactions with regulatory bodies. </p>
</li>
</ul>

<p>In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards. </p>

Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
