We’re looking for a <strong>System Administrator</strong> who enjoys owning systems end-to-end, improving how they run, and making the employee experience smoother at scale.</p> <p>This role is <strong>office-based.</strong></p> <h4>The role in a nutshell:</h4> <p>You’ll administer and continuously improve the core IT systems that SumUppers use daily - and you’ll help shape how Corporate IT operates as we scale.</p> <h4>What you’ll do:</h4> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Own the day-to-day health and configuration</strong> of one or more IT systems/services (identity, endpoint, collaboration, service management, etc.).</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Troubleshoot proactively</strong> — you don’t just wait for tickets; you spot patterns and fix root causes.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Design and propose improvements</strong> across multiple tools (e.g., consistent access models between Google Workspace and Slack).</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Build scalable lifecycle processes</strong> (onboarding, offboarding, device flows) in close collaboration with People/HR and managers.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Create and maintain standards</strong> (endpoint setup procedures, naming conventions, access models) and keep documentation current.</p> </li> <li> <p>Define and implement <strong>monitoring/alerting requirements</strong> (e.g., VPN uptime, MDM compliance, service queue health) so the team can act before users notice.</p> </li> <li> <p>Run small-to-medium projects with clear boundaries: new SaaS rollouts, process improvements, lightweight automation, operational cleanups.</p> </li> <li> <p>Identify and reduce <strong>IT technical debt</strong> — balancing quick wins with sustainable change.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong class="cui-body-gccz cui-body-m-0hb4 cui-body-semibold-pgl7 cui-body-normal-pxkh cui-body-highlight-bbub css-10dm8y e173j6r82">You will be great for this role if you:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Work independently and <strong>drive improvements without constant direction</strong>.</p> </li> <li> <p>Treat documentation as a core part of the job.</p> </li> <li> <p>Can move comfortably across multiple platforms (not just one favourite tool).</p> </li> <li> <p>See tickets as signals — and focus on the <strong>systems thinking</strong> behind them.</p> </li> <li> <p>Are comfortable with ambiguity and can turn “unclear” into “actionable”.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Must-haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Hands-on experience administering modern corporate IT systems (identity, endpoint management, collaboration, service desk).</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience across at least several of: <strong>Google Workspace, Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune, Jira/JSM, Slack, 1Password, VPN tooling</strong>.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, improvement-oriented mindset.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience working with stakeholders across the business (IT, People/HR, InfoSec, Office Management).</p> </li> <li> <p>A documentation-first approach.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice-to-have</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Jamf experience (if your primary background is macOS management).</p> </li> <li> <p>Automation/scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) or low-code automation (n8n, Zapier).</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience improving monitoring/alerting and operational dashboards.</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with security/compliance practices (access reviews, least privilege, audit readiness).</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience in regulated environments (fintech/banking/healthcare).</p> </li> </ul> <div class="css-1hz1y4x ei5vc6c0" data-selector="description@careers_position"> <p class="cui-body-gccz cui-body-m-0hb4 cui-body-regular-g1zg cui-body-normal-pxkh css-k4eprn"><strong class="cui-body-gccz cui-body-m-0hb4 cui-body-semibold-pgl7 cui-body-normal-pxkh cui-body-highlight-bbub css-10dm8y e173j6r82">Why you should join SumUp</strong></p> <ul class="cui-list-3uc7 cui-list-m-z6az css-6fljt4 e173j6r84"> <li> <p class="cui-body-gccz cui-body-m-0hb4 cui-body-regular-g1zg cui-body-normal-pxkh css-k4eprn">Make an impact on a global scale -
