About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize on-premises servers and storage to ensure high availability and performance.
- Help design, deploy, and maintain hybrid IT environments integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services.
- Configure and administer Azure services, including Azure Entra ID, Privileged Access Management, Office 365, Virtual Machines, Azure Monitoring and storage solutions.
- Ensure security best practices across hybrid environments, including encryption, and compliance with organizational policies
- Perform configuration and setup activities such as developing and implementing templates for server builds, setting permissions and rules (e.g., privileged account access management/PIM), work with Network and application owners teams to assist with system/application/services into a cloud platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to connectivity and performance between on-premises and Azure systems.
- Stay current with Azure updates, emerging technologies, and industry trends to recommend improvements
- Implementing system and file backups and configuring systems and applications.
- Operating Systems knowledge, especially Windows Server and Unix.
- Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.
- Implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to servers, systems, OS’s and databases, ensuring processes are documented and auditable.
