We combine technical expertise, mission awareness, and an empowered workforce to produce meaningful results.</p></div><p><strong>This is a contingent position based upon contract win.</strong></p> <p>SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Senior System Architect to join our team supporting the Department of Education’s (DoED) Federal Student Aid (FSA) Cybersecurity and Privacy Support Services (CPSS) in Washington, DC.</p> <p>This is a remote position.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Supports all aspects of the&nbsp;architectures&nbsp;needed for the operational, technical, and&nbsp;informational. </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Discerns customer requirements and confirms models address them.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Develops and explicates IT solutions based on the enterprise's strategic business or technical requirements.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Defines the approach for structuring each application, including determining appropriate use of technology solutions. </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Defines and validates technical requirements and architecture quality attributes. </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Designs high quality architectures and drives architecture activities that are aligned to organization requirements set by leadership on behalf of stakeholders and are consistent with enterprise architectural standards.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Designs, develops, implements, utilizes, and conforms to enterprise cloud architecture application solutions, strategies, processes, and standards, focusing on expertise in cloud technologies.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">In addition, designs and&nbsp;maintains&nbsp;security to support&nbsp;CI/CD&nbsp;DevOps infrastructure. </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Manages Information Technology applications projects, including the design, development, and implementation of components of the IT architecture. </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Develops and communicates architectural proposals for various projects and initiatives.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Develops and coordinates IT strategy and oversees implementation of integrated systems. </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Collaborates with business owners, Analysts, Engineers, development teams, and infrastructure services to define, establish, and communicate application and data architecture standards, policies, and directions.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintains and evaluates current equipment. </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Designs, develops, implements, utilizes, and conforms to enterprise information technology, cloud architecture application solutions, strategies, processes, and standards, focusing on expertise in cloud technologies. </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Collaborates with business owners, Analysts, Engineers, development teams, and infrastructure services to define, establish, and communicate application standards, policies, and directions. </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Designs, validates, and implements scalable system infrastructure.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Evaluates and analyzes complex systems architecture for performance and efficiency improvements.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Designs high quality architectures and drives architecture activities that are aligned to organization requirements set by leadership on behalf of stakeholders and are consistent with enterprise architectural standards. This position will also provide the capabilities to design the solution for the client based on cloud technologies. </span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">May manage cloud design efforts, responsible for ensuring the design considers the organizational requirements, security requirements, and design that facilitates the organizations goals.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Designs and&nbsp;validates&nbsp;enterprise security architectures aligned with Zero Trust and NIST SP 800-207.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Leads development of Engineering Design Documents (EDDs), architecture blueprints, and control mappings.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Supports integration of SIEM, SOAR, CDM,&nbsp;TDSP,&nbsp;EDR,&nbsp;AWS cloud native,&nbsp;and identity platforms&nbsp;among multiple cybersecurity tools.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Advises on&nbsp;modernization, cloud migration, and secure system design.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Participates in&nbsp;architecture&nbsp;governance boards and technical working groups.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Bachelor's degree and </span><span data-contrast="auto"></span><span data-contrast="none">12+ years of experience in supporting&nbsp;Cybersecurity&nbsp;Information Technology.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">An AWS Solution Architect certification.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">3+ years of experience in supporting Cloud Base&nbsp;solutions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-ccp-props="{}">At least an active Secret clearance.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with the planning, management, leadership, and coordination of multiple concurrent tasks, each with strict deadlines for a large-scale cybersecurity design that is integrated with business-critical systems. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-ccp-props="{}"></span><span data-ccp-props="{}"></span><span data-contrast="none">Demonstrated understanding of the software development/enhancement/maintenance lifecycle. &nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Ability to perform complex technical tasks. &nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Strong technical understanding of&nbsp;cybersecurity&nbsp;deployment,&nbsp;functionality&nbsp;and operation of&nbsp;security capabilities&nbsp;such as SIEM, EDR, CDM, pen testing,&nbsp;DevSecOps, Identity and Access Management, and AWS GovCloud systems. &nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Strong&nbsp;knowledge of recent technological advances in computer science and engineering &nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Excellent written and verbal communication skills. &nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with&nbsp;EKS,&nbsp;ECS&nbsp;and overall&nbsp;containerized environments.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span data-ccp-props="{}">Must be a U.S. citizen.&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p> <p>Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000</p> <p>The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only.
