It streamlines compute, orchestration, security, and observability, helping organizations in high-growth markets like India adopt AI faster, safer, and more cost-efficiently.</p> <hr> <p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p> <p>Join Neysa as a Senior System Engineer – Linux System &amp; Storage, where you will take ownership of advanced system administration, troubleshooting, and infrastructure reliability in a 24x7 environment.</p> <p>You will act as a key escalation point for critical issues, drive resolution of high-severity incidents, and contribute to improving system performance, automation, and operational excellence across data center and office environments.</p> <hr> <p><strong>What you’ll achieve in this role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead resolution of critical incidents and complex infrastructure issues</li> <li>Ensure high availability, performance, and security of Linux and storage systems</li> <li>Strengthen operational maturity through process adherence and documentation</li> <li>Drive automation and efficiency across infrastructure management</li> <li>Act as a technical mentor and escalation point for L1 and L2 teams</li> </ul> <hr> <p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>As a Senior System Engineer – Linux System &amp; Storage, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Perform advanced configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Linux systems, storage, backup, hardware, and applications</li> <li>Provide technical support and guidance to L1, L2 teams and clients across communication channels</li> <li>Be available for 24x7 operational support in rotational shifts</li> <li>Handle escalations, severity incidents, and critical projects</li> <li>Respond to and resolve incidents, requests, changes, and problems within SLA</li> <li>Work on service improvement plans (SIPs) and assigned initiatives</li> <li>Ensure adherence to defined processes and operational procedures</li> <li>Maintain high availability and uptime of infrastructure systems</li> <li>Prepare handover checklists, plans of action (POA), shift reports, SOPs, and KEDB documentation</li> <li>Ensure all activities are logged and updated in ticketing systems</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive faster resolutions and improvements</li> </ul> <hr> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>8 to 12 years of experience in Linux System Administration &amp; Storage</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)</li> <li>Strong experience working in enterprise or data center environments</li> <li>Proven ability to handle critical incidents and escalations</li> </ul> <p><strong>Primary Skills (Must Have)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong expertise in Linux OS and infrastructure management</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, SSH, TCP/IP, SMTP, IP, Iptables/Firewalld</li> <li>Experience with web servers and load balancers: Apache, Nginx, HAProxy</li> <li>Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills (logs analysis, event correlation)</li> <li>Strong knowledge of storage technologies: LVM, RAID, SAN, NAS, iSCSI</li> <li>Proficiency in scripting and automation: Python, Shell scripting, Ansible, Terraform</li> <li>Experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Containers, Kubernetes</li> <li>Hands-on experience with backup technologies: Bacula, Commvault, Veeam</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana</li> <li>Exposure to provisioning tools like Foreman and MAAS</li> <li>Understanding of virtualization platforms: KVM, Proxmox</li> <li>Basic knowledge of AI model deployment and fine-tuning</li> <li>Experience in driving automation and infrastructure optimization initiatives</li> </ul> <hr> <p><strong>Why This Role is a Unique Opportunity at Neysa</strong></p> <p>This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale infrastructure systems that power AI-driven platforms.
