<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">About the Role</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto"> </span> <br><span data-contrast="auto">As a </span><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Systems Engineer</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">, you will play a vital role in maintaining, monitoring, and optimising Bluestaq’s enterprise systems—both cloud-hosted and on-premises. You will ensure secure, reliable and continuous operations across critical software, infrastructure, and networking components, enabling Bluestaq’s teams and clients to perform mission-essential work without interruption. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">You will apply deep systems administration expertise, proactive troubleshooting, and a customer-service mindset to strengthen uptime, enhance automation, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across Defence-aligned environments. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></p>

<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain and support the integrity of Bluestaq’s systems and networks through technical support and configuration management. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of applications, networks and systems in both cloud and on-premise environments. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ensure high availability and reliability of enterprise systems supporting 24/7 operations. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Provide timely, solutions-focused support to users and stakeholders, fostering a culture of responsiveness and collaboration. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Manage system installations, upgrades, patching, and automation initiatives to improve performance and security posture. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and cybersecurity teams to strengthen system resilience and streamline processes. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Support and enhance cloud identity and access management tools, ensuring compliance with security and Defence standards. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge bases for system continuity. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Identify and mitigate potential risks through proactive monitoring, testing, and response planning. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain production Kubernetes (K8s) clusters across multiple on-premises environments, encompassing tasks such as deployment, scaling, monitoring (using tools like Prometheus/Grafana), and troubleshooting for containerised applications. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">5–7+ years of systems administration or information technology experience supporting mission-critical environments. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Relevant tertiary qualification in information technology or equivalent experience. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Demonstrated proficiency in Linux systems administration and foundational networking principles. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong understanding of cloud environments and identity management tools (AWS experience highly regarded). </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Working knowledge of system vulnerabilities, security issues and remediation best practices. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience managing and troubleshooting complex enterprise systems in both on-premises and cloud contexts. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with help desk systems, escalation workflows, and service delivery frameworks. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative, customer-centric approach. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></li>
