The selected candidate will support projects focused on developing and implementing next-generation IT tools, systems, and capabilities while providing technical leadership throughout the engineering lifecycle.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">This role requires end-to-end responsibility for applied research and cyber capability development efforts, ensuring successful execution from concept through implementation.</p> <h3>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</h3> <h4>Systems Engineering</h4> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Evaluate, develop, and deliver technical input to the systems engineering process.</li> <li>Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.</li> <li>Guide system development and implementation planning through system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.</li> <li>Provide engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.</li> </ul> <h4>Technical Leadership &amp; Coordination</h4> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Coordinate with administrators, engineers, developers, testers, government stakeholders, and mission partners.</li> <li>Interact with government representatives regarding technical considerations, issues, and conflicts.</li> <li>Establish effective working relationships with government agencies and mission partners.</li> <li>Deliver briefings on complex topics to technical and executive audiences.</li> </ul> <h4>Research &amp; Capability Development</h4> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Support applied research and cyber capability development projects.</li> <li>Contribute as a senior technical resource on complex research efforts.</li> <li>Ensure solutions are implemented in a sound and secure manner.</li> <li>Support mission-focused engineering activities from concept through deployment.</li> </ul> <h3>QUALIFICATIONS</h3> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline (four years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree).</li> <li>Active CISSP, CASP+ CE, or CSSLP certification (minimum DoD 8570 IASAE Level II certification).</li> <li>15+ years of systems engineering experience.</li> <li>Experience developing technical documentation, system architectures, and system designs.</li> <li>Experience supporting system development, integration, and implementation activities.</li> <li>Experience communicating with technical teams, government stakeholders, and senior leadership.</li> <li>Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.</li> </ul> <h3>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</h3> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Exposure to Cloud and AWS environments.</li> <li>Knowledge of the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).</li> <li>Experience designing and engineering systems from the ground up.</li> <li>Experience with network architecture and systems engineering.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly assess and develop practical technical solutions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS</strong></p> <p>At SIXGEN, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation for this role will be based on experience, qualifications, technical expertise, and overall alignment with the position.
