Please take a moment to browse through our website and learn more about what it means to serve with MKS2.</p> <hr> <p>&nbsp;</p></div><p><strong>Mid-Level Systems Integration Engineer (Linux, Unix, C)&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary: $130,000 - +</strong></p> <p><strong>Location: Annapolis Junction, MD</strong></p> <p><strong>Labor Requirements: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and developing and implementing corrective actions.</li> <li>Observe and interpreted visual outputs indicating the operational status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure.</li> <li>Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, then apply diagnoses to develop technical solutions to meet user needs.</li> <li>Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact.</li> <li>Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Technical Skills Required: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong Linux experience.</li> <li>Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management.</li> <li>Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers or network infrastructure.</li> <li>Experience setting up storage such as network attached storage.</li> <li>Experience implementing security best practices to include PKI certificate generation, deployment and maintenance.</li> <li>Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Special Technical Skills Desired: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite.</li> <li>Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS.</li> <li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana.</li> <li>Experience with SELinux and FIPS.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Minimum Experience Required: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree plus 5-years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 3-years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 7-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 9-years of relevant experience may be considered.</li> <li>Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field.</li> <li>Must have an IAT-I certification, such as Security+CE.</li> <li>Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming. Information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering.
