About the role
How You Will Help
- Assist in preparing and reviewing sales and use tax reporting
- Perform monthly reconciliation between government and company records
- Maintain an accurate database of tax records and make adjusting entries to tax accounts when necessary
- Create additional documentation as needed, including internal tax payment forecasting reports
- Collaborate with team members across the company to assist with sales tax exemption activities in order to ensure the company stays compliant with all state and local filings
- Assist on federal and state audits
- Respond to state notices
- Maintain tax calendar
- Other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred
- 4-7 or more of related experience required
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods industries.
- Experience with Sales Tax Exemption
- Experience dealing with blanket and job sales exemption certificates, including the review thereof for compliance
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Vertex.
