About the role
<p>Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join Bolton Council's Referral and Assessment Team based at Castle Hill, working across the borough.</p>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">What will your responsibilities be?</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li> Manage and lead an efficient and effective Referral and Assessment Team, ensuring timely and high-quality responses to referrals concerning children and families.</li>
<li>Provide management oversight of assessments, safeguarding interventions, and decision-making processes, ensuring statutory duties and performance targets are met.</li>
<li>Supervise, support, and develop social work staff through regular supervision, performance management, and workforce development activities.</li>
<li>Oversee recruitment, selection, induction, and retention of staff to maintain a skilled and effective team.</li>
<li>Ensure effective workload management, resource allocation, and service delivery across the team.</li>
<li>Chair and facilitate professional meetings, strategy discussions, multi-agency meetings, and decision-making forums.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with partner agencies to promote positive outcomes for children and families and ensure effective safeguarding practice.</li>
<li>Oversee quality assurance processes and monitor compliance with legislation, policies, procedures, and professional standards.</li>
<li>Review and quality assure assessments, reports, and case recording to ensure high standards of practice.</li>
<li>Contribute to service improvement initiatives, audits, inspections, and project work across Children's Services.</li>
<li>Manage financial resources and support budget monitoring and resource management.</li>
<li>Ensure accurate recording, reporting, and use of management information systems to support operational and strategic decision-making.</li>
<li>Lead on disciplinary, grievance, capability, and attendance management processes where required.</li>

<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Qualifications and Experience:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">To be successful in this role you must have;</span> </p>
<ul>
<li>Social Work England registration.</li>
<li>Eligible to work in the UK.</li>
<li>Hold a full UK driving licence.</li>
<li>Degree level qualification in Social Work (DipSW/CQSW or equivalent).</li>
<li>Extensive post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care. </li>
</ul>
