We fuse streaming, batch, and ML workloads with a modern web application to support defense, law-enforcement, and enterprise missions.</p> <h3>Role</h3> <p>Lead the engineering squad delivering for defense customers. You’ll stay hands-on across TypeScript and Python, guide forward-deployed teams, and ensure secure, reliable deployments in disconnected environments.</p> <h3>What you'll do</h3> <ul> <li>Architect and ship mission features—sensor integrations, workflows, real-time dashboards.</li> <li>Run deployments and incident response on-site, coordinating with commanders and SRE teams.</li> <li>Harden air-gapped installs: GitOps, registry mirrors, audit logging, zero-trust patterns.</li> <li>Mentor forward-deployed engineers and partner with Product/Security on roadmaps.</li> <li>Document and deliver accreditation evidence (BSI/NATO) and post-mission lessons.</li> </ul> <h3>About you</h3> <ul> <li>7+ years engineering with leadership experience in mission-critical or regulated products.</li> <li>Hands-on with TypeScript/Node.js, React/Next.js, Python services, and Kubernetes.</li> <li>Comfortable operating in defense environments, including travel (≈30%) and on-call.</li> <li>Strong background in security (Keycloak/OPA, Vault, mTLS) and observability (OpenTelemetry/Prometheus).</li> <li>EU/NATO citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.</li> <li>German language (C1+)</li> </ul> <h3>Nice‑to‑haves</h3> <ul> <li>Experience shipping air-gapped systems, sensor integrations, or tactical data workflows.</li> <li>Incident command certifications, OSS contributions, or talks on mission software.</li> </ul> <h3>What We Offer</h3> <ul> <li>Mission-driven work with direct operator impact; field stipend and specialized training.</li> <li>Modern stack: TypeScript, Python, Kafka, Temporal, Kubernetes, Vault, OpenSearch.</li> <li>Remote-first in Germany with regular deployments and Berlin meetups; 30 days vacation.</li> </ul>
