Our 1,500+ consultants work across 19 offices worldwide, combining deep sector expertise with hands-on delivery to support more than 970 clients across asset management, wealth management, insurance, and broader financial services.</p> <p>We are expanding our Technology Due Diligence offering within the Strategy &amp; Deals team and are seeking experienced professionals to lead high-profile buy-side and sell-side engagements. Our engagements deliver targeted assessments of technology risk, value creation potential, and operational resilience — enabling investors and corporate clients to make well-informed transaction decisions.</p> <p><strong>Level Guidance</strong></p> <p>We are open at both the Engagement Lead and Engagement Director level, depending on candidate experience:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Engagement Lead (EL): </strong>7+ years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of leading technology due diligence engagements in financial services</li> <li><strong>Engagement Director (ED): </strong>10+ years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of leading technology due diligence engagements in financial services and managing senior client relationships.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>The responsibilities below apply across both levels; Engagement Directors are expected to take greater ownership of client relationships and practice development.</p> <p><strong>Engagements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead technology due diligence engagements end-to-end, forming a clear view of a target’s technology platforms, architecture, and development practices, and translating technical findings into actionable commercial and investment insights that inform deal strategy.</li> <li>Assess enterprise technology environments, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software development practices in the context of the transaction thesis.</li> <li>Evaluate how AI, data platforms, and emerging technologies support the commercial strategy, product roadmap, and growth ambitions.</li> <li>Translate technical findings into commercial, financial, and investment insights that directly inform client decision-making.</li> <li>For fintech and software platform targets, evaluate the product architecture, data assets, and platform scalability alongside the commercial value of the product in the market.</li> <li>Where the engagement involves an integration, assess IT synergy opportunities and identify key IT integration considerations.</li> <li>Where the engagement involves a carve-out, assess the standalone operating model impacts on IT and evaluate related standalone cost adjustments for IT expenditure</li> </ul> <p><strong>Client &amp; Stakeholder Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including private equity investment teams, CFOs and CTOs</li> <li>Structure and present conclusions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Team &amp; Practice</strong></p> <ul> <li>Mentor and develop team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables and knowledge sharing across the team.</li> <li>Support business development efforts, including proposals, client pitches, and thought leadership.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>7 to 10+ years of relevant experience (see Level Guidance above).</li> <li>Strong track record of delivering technology-focused due diligence within financial services.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to distil complex findings into actionable insights.</li> <li>Proven experience leading teams and client relationships at a senior level.</li> <li>Demonstrable depth in emerging technology (e.g., AI, GenAI, data platforms), combined with the ability to connect technical findings to commercial strategy, product competitiveness, and investment outcomes.</li> <li>Familiarity with adjacent workstreams — such as operational due diligence or integration planning — is advantageous.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary with annual profit-sharing opportunity</li> <li>401k matching</li> <li>25 days of annual paid time off</li> <li>Supplemented medical, dental and vision coverage</li> <li>Comprehensive training and development programs, including support for professional qualifications such as the CFA and IMC</li> <li>Opportunity to shape Alpha’s AI and technology due diligence capability.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em data-olk-copy-source="MailCompose">There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the range is $230,000 to $330,000 subject to change based on salary benchmarking.
