Systems Design</strong> <ul> <li>Design and own event-driven, micro-services architectures on GCP</li> <li>Architect end-to-end RAG pipelines - ingestion, chunking, retrieval, and generation - for production workloads</li> <li>Define and enforce network and access security patterns: IAP, VPC-SC, Secret Manager</li> <li>Author Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and enforce Definition of Done (DoD) standards</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Trade-offs, Cost &amp; Performance</strong> <ul> <li>Lead LLM selection decisions - Vertex AI vs. open-source - with structured cost-benefit framing</li> <li>Optimize GenAI run costs through token budgeting, embedding cache strategies, and model tiering</li> <li>Own scalability design for Cloud Run workloads, including cold-start mitigation and load-testing strategy</li> <li>Translate architectural trade-offs into clear stakeholder communication</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Data &amp; Document Quality</strong> <ul> <li>Design source modeling strategies across Drive, GCS, and Vector Search</li> <li>Define and enforce chunking strategies and Registry governance for document pipelines</li> <li>Proactively identify and retire technical debt; Design: Demonstrated success authoring architectural artifacts (e.g., ADRs, technical specs, DoD) and designing event-driven microservices architectures on GCP.</li> <li>Production GenAI &amp; RAG: Hands-on experience delivering production-grade Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems—spanning ingestion, advanced chunking strategy design, retrieval, and generation.</li> <li>LLM &amp; Cost Management: Practical experience with LLM evaluation and selection across commercial and open-source models, alongside token-level cost management and embedding cache optimization at scale.</li> <li>GCP Ecosystem: Deep, production-grade proficiency in Google Cloud Platform, specifically: Vertex AI (including Vertex AI Vector Search), Cloud Run (managing cold starts/load testing), Pub/Sub, GCS, VPC-SC, IAP, and Secret Manager.</li> <li>Core Languages: Strong programming proficiency in Python.</li> <li>Stakeholder Alignment: Strong communication skills with experience interfacing directly with enterprise core teams and project sponsors.</li> </ul> <p></p> <h3><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Nice to have qualifications </span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></h3> <p></p> <ul> <li>Certifications: Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer or Cloud Architect certification.</li> <li>Frameworks &amp;
